Leadership & Projects

  • Stress prevention

Implement was brought in to hold ‘theme days’ on stress. This project is part of a conscious effort on the part of the local authority to prevent work-related stress at all levels of the organisation. And the theme days have made a difference. They encourage staff to raise issues at work, making them more alert to warning signals in themselves and in their colleagues.

  • Effective change processes

Major achievements are said to take blood, sweat and tears. Results in change management take disruption, involvement and incisiveness. A medium-sized IT company based in Denmark with around 500 employees achieved that the effect measured by efficient project execution alone improved by a full 37%, which was the prime objective of the transformation.

  • Setting new standards in management training

The public sector in general and the health sector in particular are under intense pressure to provide better service for less money. The Capital Region of Denmark rose to the challenge and launched the largest and most ambitious project ever in manager and management training in the public sector.

  • A new HR strategy ensures a strategic development of competences

The case company, which is constituted by a group of media, had been through a larger turnaround, and the key figures had been improved significantly. However, they needed to centre the limited HR resources, in order for them to support the company’s strategy even better. The project has created a strategic platform, which positions HR as a major player in relation to the future organisational and business development of the company.

  • Implementation of a new business model

The case company, which is a key player in the pharmaceutical industry, had to reduce the staff by 25%, reduce the number of management layers and increase employee satisfaction. The management team themselves had defined the new business model, drawn the organisational chart and dismissed the necessary number of employees. Thus, our task consisted of implementing the strategy and in creating results, financially as well as in terms of atmosphere.

  • Implementation of Scandinavian management style in a globalised company

The company is a market leader focusing on development and sale of analytical solutions. The  challenge for the company consisted in making highly product-oriented local managers think in a more customer- and sales-oriented manner while operating at many continents and cultures. To achieve better sales results the local sales managers needed a common minimum level as well as a common frame of reference across countries.

  • Management and project development

In 2005 KVL (now Faculty of Life Sciences) decided to merge the large number of institutes into two centres and 12 institutes. A creation of a real change mentally and culturally in relation to management and strategic understanding in KVL was needed. In order to create the right conditions for the  implementation of the new forms of management and project management, the project was based on the Action Learning principles.

  • Re-energising with Appreciative Inquiry

Post Danmark’s Product Management/Marketing department has faced a number of challenges which have created uncertainty and declining organisational self-esteem, resulting in fluctuating satisfaction, impaired drive and capacity for independent initiative as well as increased focus on problems rather than opportunities. An organisational development project, founded on an AI approach, helped create a positive mental shift that optimised human resources and increased motivation and commitment.

  • Developing a project culture

Frederikshavn Municipality needed to achieve better overview of all projects under the local authority and create a project culture that would ensure the efficiency of work within and across individual projects. Part of the solution was to carry out a project convention of 65 employees, project managers, project assistants and project owners at a single venue and in an intensive process.
