Founded in 1958, the company has 4,000 business customers. One of the goals was to professionalise the way in which IT handled deliverables to the business and making production in IT more visible. A way of doing this was to provide system support for the processes in IT. Implement had the project mgmt. responsibility during the entire process – from requirement collection to selection and implementation to testing and go-live.

Implement had the project mgmt. responsibility from the requirement collection to selection and implementation to testing and go-live. Today there is a high degree of system anchoring combined with a fusion of processes as a result of the implementation process.

The case company has almost 40 years’ experience of developing solutions for the financial industry. As part of maturing their Professional Services, the company is rolling out new professional service concepts, addressing their customers’ need for services fitting into the ITIL framework. In order to roll out confidently, the professionals needed ITIL service knowledge and certification before acting as internal trainers.

University of Copenhagen - effective implementation of ITIL
Koncern-it is the university’s joint IT unit supplying more than 37,000 students and more than 8,200 FTEs. Too many resources were used in areas that did not contribute to delivering customer value and an implementation of ITIL processes was carried out in order to create processes with clear areas of responsibility. We facilitated the process - giving Koncern-it the responsibility for the processes and the anchoring.

ITIL service support processes in record time
In 2007, a new air traffic management system, “CASIMO”, was put into service at Naviar. CASIMO consists of development and implementation of a new air traffic management system for the handling of air traffic control in Danish airspace. In order to establish optimal conditions in relation to service and support, thereby reducing the lead time for changes ATM systems, Naviair chose to adapt and implement the ITIL service support processes.
